以不同产地人工林中采取的降香黄檀( Dalbergia odorifera T. The wood of Dalbergia odorifera T. Chen originated from different sites of plantations were sampled as materials in this paper. DNA from the sapwood and heartwood of D. odorifera treated with various temperature was extracted and amplified for the internal transcribed space ( ITS) sequences. The effects of various temperature treatments on DNA extraction and amplification for target sequences were analyzed. The rDNA-ITS sequences of D. odorifera from different habitats and D. rimosa Roxb, a closely related species, were sequenced and their divergences were analyzed. The results showed that there were varying extents of diffusion with the DNA extracts from the heat treatment of 25℃ and 65℃, and the DNA from the heat treatment of 105℃ was degraded and smaller than 250bp. The ITS sequences can be amplified successfully from wood after 25℃ heat treatments. Seeds of Dalbergia odorifera were treated by three plant growth regulators of 6-BA, IBA, GA 3 and distilled water. The content of soluble sugar, starch, protein and fat of seeds were determined during germination. The results showed as follows:seeds of D. odorifera showed a downward trend in the soluble sugar content in all treatments. The starch content dropped from 0.6%which was the one of the third day to 0.2% below when the seeds ended germination. In the early period of germination (3~6 d), starch content of seeds changed little with the treatment of 6-BA, but there was a significant downward trend in the later period of germination. Changes of protein and fat content were relatively stable, and inapparent after treatment of three plant growth regulators.

To analyze the chemical compositions of essential oils extacted from aromatic heartwood in Dalbergia odorifera T. Chen by ethephon stimulation. The essential oils of Dalbergia odorifera were extracted by steam distillation extraction. The chemical components were separated and analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The results indicated 8 compounds were identified in essential oils. The major components from essential oils were nerolidol ( 39.06%) . Ethephon stimulation can accelerate the heartwood formation of Dalbergia odorifera T. Chen , which is a method of worth exploring and promoting.

Twenty-four plots of Dalbergia odorifera plantation in 18 counties across Guangdong province were selected for the successive investigations of growth and chilling injury of tree species from 2011 to 2013. The results show that D. odorifera displayed a quick early growth with an annual increase of 1.05 m in tree height and of 1.03 cm in diameter at breast height;there were significant differences among individuals in the tree growth and chilling injury;the species suffered severe continuous chilling injury for 5~10 days with minimum air temperature 0~5 oC;the injury degree was negatively correlated with monthly mean air temperature, altitude, tree height and age, and positively with latitude and diameter;the geography was also found to have impacts on the injury degree of D. odorifera;the injured individuals had the potential to recover in the next year with less chilling climate. In order to understand the impacts of AM symbiosis on the seedling growth and physiological activity ,the seedling growth and physiological characteristics of D.odorifera in the non-sterile soil with AMF inoculation for 3 months and 10 months were stud-ied.The results showed that the seedling growth with inoculation were higher than the control treatment (CK).The facilitation effects increased with the time.The seedlings with AMF inoculation had higher SOD activity ,chlorophyll contents and lower chlorophyll a /b ratio than those of CK.It is indicated that the inoculation of AMF could improve the photosynthetic capacity and resistance ability and of D.odorifera.However ,the beneficial effects varied with the AMF inoculums.The growth effect of the seedlings inoculated with mixed inoculums of Glomus mosseae and Acaulospora tuberculata was the best ,next to that inoculated with Glomus mosseae only.
